Job Description
• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
• Responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Works with international freight forwarders and domestic carriers, scheduling multiple modes of
transportation (ground, air, and ocean) for on-time, cost-efficient delivery.
• Must have experience with hazardous materials (Hazmat) and foreign shipping compliance.
• Collaborates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, supply chain, and other
departments involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of both incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Establishes regular reporting cadence on shipping status from overseas vendors, ensuring on-time
delivery of container shipments to freight forwarders.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and customer-ready work area.
• Promptly loads and unloads delivery trucks and sorts receivables.
• Accurately maintains daily logs, scans inventory, and counts stock.
• Engages with vendors and drivers in a professional and positive manner.
• Ensures the shipping area is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
• Resolves issues related to lost, missing, or problematic shipments, including international containers.
• Supports administrative tasks such as tracking purchase orders (POs) and receiving slips.
• Tags equipment upon receipt and tracks inventory accurately.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of time management and urgency.
• Must have experience with U.S. Customs Rules and Regulations, with the ability to research and comply
with these regulations.
• Knowledge of shipping processes via UPS, DHL, FedEx, and their respective systems (e.g., UPS WorldShip).
• Able to lift boxes of varying sizes and weights.
• Proficient in EPICOR, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Outlook, Teams, and
Excel.
