Job Description
Job Summary:
To build a variety of routine sheet metal parts and assemblies. Works from blueprints, work orders, templates, oral and written instructions to fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts where detailed instructions are available but minor decisions and some judgment is required to meet specifications. Assists with the development of shop aids, jigs and fixtures in the assembly of experimental sheet metal structures. Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, micrometer and scale. Operates power equipment such as drill motor, rivet gun, saw, hydraulic press, hand roll, shear and power brake. Responsible only for own work.

Minimum Requirements:
- 2 yrs aircraft structural experience required
- FAA airframe license is preferred
Job Responsibilities:
• Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, and written and verbal instructions.
• Lay out of sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions
• Alter and existing part using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions.
• Rivet and sheet metal component removal.
• Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts.
• Drill various metals.
• Debur holes and cut lines.
• Set up for and countersinking holes.
• Set up for and dimpling of holes.
• Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun.
• Set up for and install solid rivets with a squeeze tool.
• Install blind rivets and fasteners.
