Job Description
In Your Role, You Will:
• Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings per work order or customer request.
• Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations.
• Adhere to General Work Requirements (Factory, Shop, and/or Hangar positions).
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in 5-S activities.
• Perform work in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance during slow periods of unplanned work.
• Clean aircraft as required.
• Travel on international assignments if required.
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed.
• Assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed.
How to Thrive in This Role:
• Five years of corporate painting experience (i.e., auto, RV, boat, etc.).
• Demonstrate the ability to break down cabinets, remove hardware, and inlay.
• Ability to strip finish using heat and scraper.
• Experience with sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finish, including touching up defects in veneer.
• Ability to mix, match, and apply stains and paints on new veneers.
• Knowledge of spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats.
• Experience with aircraft touch-up.
• Ability to mask and unmask components for finish process.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Ability to communicate in both written and verbal form regarding individual and/or aircraft status.
• Experience on corporate jets (preferred).
• Basic PC skills.
