Job Description
Key Contributions to the Team:
• Fabricate, install, and refurbish aircraft interior equipment and furnishings, with a focus on wood finishing,
per work order or customer request.
• Perform and document all work in accordance with appropriate manuals and regulations.
• Adhere to Client’s General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and/or hangar positions.
• Comply with environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in 5-S activities (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Assist with additional tasks, including drop-ins and planned maintenance during periods of low unplanned
work.
• Clean aircraft as required.
• Travel on international assignments if needed.
• Provide support for maintenance at off-site locations as necessary.
• Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines when required.
How to Succeed in this Role:
• 3-5 years of experience working on aircraft interiors, particularly on corporate aircraft.
• Skilled in breaking down cabinets and removing hardware, inlays, etc.
• Ability to strip finishes using heat and scrapers.
• Proficiency in sanding and prepping raw veneer and hardwood for finishing, including touching up veneer
defects.
• Experience in mixing, matching, and applying stains and paints to new veneers.
• Knowledge of spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats.
• Aircraft touch-up experience.
• Competency in masking and unmasking components for finishing processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form to report on individual and aircraft status.
• Basic PC skills.
